I decided to start a new blog about what I'm watching on TV, Movies (on dvd), and e-book. I don't go to movie theaters because of the volume factor. They don't need to play movies that loud but they do, so I don't go (without earplugs). What 2012 was the best for was the e-book. My bookshelves only have a few volumes on them and I can read without having so many books around the house. I have a Kindle Paperwhite and Kobo glo (a Kobo touch as backup).
Latest reading marathon is the Jack Reacher series by Lee Child. These books tap into the revenge fantasy I think we all have at times. I'm on book 8 and I'm enjoying them but they don't make me want to go out and buy a gun. Child could say anything about guns and I'd have no idea what he was talking about. Makes it easy to read a book and not nit pick the hell out of it when one has no idea what gun is and only care that it goes bang. I also don't feel the need to punch out some villian as at 5'4" and past 50 would be suicide. I do like the idea of someone taking out the trash and leaving town before the welcome mat is snatched back.
Now off to watch Looper.
